I checked the notes and I believe last time we've seen the monkey was in episode 49!!!!
It was the episode where two chinese dragons, Xiaojin and Xiaomo, granted inheritance to Datou (Golden Dragon Lion God) and the ape (Sky Destroying Demon Ape).
I don't recall any regular name for the ape, only that it was called "Purple Mystic Demon Ape" before being granted the inheritance from the dragons.

Been wondering when the hell the monkey is gonna b done with his training, took so many episodes for him to get done, better hurry with the finish touches so he can help Datou and his master asap.

Me too, was wondering for a while when he will come back and if at that point lol, but well they finally gave us a sneak peak, I guess with him on Tan Yun side as well as the the lion one, its gonna be a hell of a dead bodies party lol and I’m in all for it xD

Dude says he needs to hurry up and go help Datou...then he turns it into a staring competition with the other Fire Griffins.
Then my man instead of doing a nice sneak attack, he stops midflight losing all momentum and goes for a cheap slash. Finally, he turns his back on the boss leading to him getting caught by the tail.
Like really? Does he even know fighting? Do the animators even know what they are doing?
